EXHIBITION OF ACTUAL ART “IMPRINTS OF THE CIVILIZATION. NONEXISTENT ARTEFACTS”
The art-weekend of the ARTIS PROJECT “Imprints of the Civilization. Nonexistent Artefacts” took place from March 17 to March 19 at the Gallery of Classic Photography.
The theme of the exhibition, curated by art critics Louise Morin and Natalia Pankina, became the interconnections of the objective world with History and Time, as well as the meanings that art brings to the world of things around and accompanying a person.
The spectators were able to observe the many ornate paths that turn things and even living organisms into artefacts of their time.
By tradition, the exhibition of the ARTIS PROJECT became a premiere for several works represented on it: two paintings by Anna Selina and an art object by Ivan Egelskiy. Also, especially for ARTIS, the lecture “Artefact. The Phenomenon of the Thing in Art”, was read by the artist, art historian and theorist Dmitriy Gutov.
